Frequently asked questions
Quick answers. Each one links to the full guide.
Account and plans
Is there a free plan? Yes. Every account starts on Free with a 7-day trial. See plans and limits.
What happens when my trial ends? Everything you made keeps working, but you can't create new links, event pages or personal links until you upgrade. See your free trial.
How do I pay or upgrade? Go to Billing & Plans → Upgrade plan, pick a plan and send the request. Our team confirms it and your plan changes. See billing and plans.
Can my team use the same account? Yes. Invite people from Team and give each one a role. See team members.
I didn't get the verification email. Check your spam folder, then click Resend email. Signing in with Google or GitHub skips this step. See create your account.
Links
Can I choose what comes after the slash?
Yes. Type your own back-half when you create the link, for example stackly.in/diwali-sale. See create a short link.
Can I change where a link goes after I've shared it? No. A link's destination can't be changed. Create a new link instead. You can still edit its title, tags and options. See manage your links.
Do short links expire? They can. Set a date under More options → Security → Expires on. See link options.
Someone says my link doesn't open. The page they see tells you why: turned off, expired, click limit reached, wrong device or country, or a domain that isn't set up yet. See what visitors see.
Can I use my own domain, like go.mybrand.com? Yes, on Growth and higher plans. See custom domains.
Where's the QR code for a link? Every link has one. You can download it as an image. See QR codes.
Events and personal links
How do guests register for my event? They open your event link, type their name and email and click Register. You don't need to send them a form. See event pages.
Can I approve guests before they join? Yes. Turn on Require approval, then approve or decline people on the Guests tab. Guests get an email either way. See manage event guests.
What's the difference between a short link and a personal link? A short link is the same for everyone. A personal link list gives each person their own link, so you can see exactly who opened it. See personal links.
Analytics and reports
What counts as a click? Each time someone opens your link. Unique visitors counts each person once, so one person clicking three times is three clicks but one visitor. See analytics.
Can my client see the numbers without a Stackly account? Yes. Share a read-only report link. See share a report with a client.
How long is click data kept? It depends on your plan. Older data moves to an archive for 60 days before it's deleted. See data retention.
